The 20-year-old has featured in six RaboDirect PRO12 fixtures for the Welsh region in the current campaign and will start on Sunday against Treviso at the Liberty Stadium.
And Davies insists he plans to continue making an important contribution from wherever he is on the field, starting with a win against Treviso.
"I'm enjoying the season. I'm picking up some game-time," Davies told Wales Online. "I didn't get as much as I would have liked last year, but it's good to be playing now and picking up experience.
"Coming back from the World Cup I was looking to get more involved. I was with Swansea at the start of the season, but I've had a few games for the Ospreys and now it's a case of trying to stay in the team.
"I'm enjoying full-back. It's different from No.10 in some aspects, so in that respect it's given me a fresh perspective on the game.
"I'm enjoying being at the back. There's a lot more time to make decisions and kick, but fly-half is where I have played most of my life. I am learning different parts of the game at full-back which will help my game at 10.
"Our first priority is to win the game against Treviso. They will be missing a few players who will be away on Italian duty but they are a good side.
"We have to stick to our game-plan early on, because you can get caught in a battle with them if you chuck the ball about too soon.
"You have to avoid playing into their hands. We are going to look to win the game first. Hopefully, the tries will come later on."
