But with six of their eight remaining games coming in front of their home fans, Wilson is hopeful the club's support can push them up the standings.
And with Edinburgh set to visit Wales this Saturday, Wilson wants Parc y Scarlets to become a fortress as soon as possible.
"We're in a rather fortunate position that we have a number of home games remaining in the run-in to the end of the season and will probably be the difference between us and a number of others," he said.
"We've played a lot of the big guns away from home already and we're targeting the remaining points to get us back into the position that we want to be in; there are 45 points up for grabs and they are there for the taking.
"We perhaps haven't been as consistent at home as we'd have liked so far this season; we've put in the performances but haven't managed to secure the results consistently.
"The wins on the road are great, of course they are, and will prove vital in the final standings, but there are no games that you want to perform best at than those at home in front of a passionate home crowd."
