New Zealander Reidy has come in on a short-term deal and has thrown himself straight into pre-season to be ready for the new GUINNESS PRO12 season.
And the 25-year-old, who qualifies for Ireland through his grandfather, is keen to take each opportunity presented to him, especially with some of Ulster's bigger names unavailable in the coming weeks.
"I have set my self a few goals," Reidy told the Ulster website.
"I am here on trial basis so it's about getting that full-contract. The pre-season and early season games are important.
"The internationals may not be available for those matches with being phased back in, so that's the time when I hope to play and to put my hand up.
"I have a chance here with Ulster and I want to take it."
