The Scottish region endured a tough afternoon at the Liberty Stadium as they leaked nine tries in a devastating 62-12 loss against the GUINNESS PRO12 league leaders.
After beginning the season in impressive fashion by beating Munster 14-13 at Thomond Park, two straight defeats have left Solomons with much food for thought, particularly in defence.
And he insists, with little turnaround until their next outing against the Scarlets, his players must take responsibility and ensure there will be a response.
"The ordinary errors that are happening in open play, there's no need to drop balls. If players bring a focus to the game those errors can be drastically reduced," Solomons told the club webiste.
"With a home game against the Scarlets in five days, there's less time than usual to rectify errors.
"We have no choice but to cope with the short turnaround and players will hopefully bring a sharper focus to Friday night's game, drastically reduce the error rate and the system errors.
"Where we dropped off the tackles was where they went up 36 points to 13, we started chasing the game - once you get behind like that and you're trying to chase the game, the defence falls away.
"The team and all of us associated with the team - obviously we feel terrible about it. It was a poor performance. Taking nothing away from the Ospreys, who ran in some good tries."
