Munster, who came into the European break fourth in the GUINNESS PRO12 table, kicked off their campaign with a dramatic comeback victory at Sale Sharks last weekend.
And they backed that up at Thomond Park on Friday evening with a 14-3 victory over another English outfit - Saracens.
Replacement prop Dave Kilcoyne bundled his way over for the game's only try as the Munstermen denied their visitors even a losing bonus point, despite an indifferent display off the tee from fly-half Ian Keatley.
Those two wins leave Foley's side top of Pool 1 at this early stage and with French giants Clermont visiting in round three, the boss is pleased with their early progress.
"It sets us up nicely going forward," he said. "We had a great win at Sale last weekend where we showed the sort of character you strive for in a group of players.
"In the last couple of years we have slipped up away from home so it was an important result. Now we have backed that up here at home with a very physical performance.
"We have to dust ourselves down for what is ahead but we can enjoy this moment. It is good to be in this position but we know there can be twists and turns along this road and it is important we grab every point we can and make sure we get out of the group."
