The 22-year-old has endured a frustrating time with injury this season, with surgery on his hip ruling him out of action until last weekend's European home game against Leicester Tigers.
It was a return that coincided with a timely 26-7 victory over the English outfit, although their European adventure is however at an end for the season.
Attention now focuses on domestic matters with Ulster currently fifth in the GUINNESS PRO12 table with their next match coming against Benetton Treviso on February 13.
And Henderson, who will continue his injury comeback when he plays for Ireland Wolfhounds against England Saxons on Friday night, believes his club's latest win can act as a turning point for the season.
"We had a few results not go our way but last weekend we showed what we were capable of," he told Ulster's official website.
"It really revitalised everyone in a sense that we all know that we can do it, and there is no reason why we can't perform like that week in week out.
"Being stuck in the gym for so long, the guts of seven months, was tough.
"It was great to get back playing again and the desire of all the guys around me made it a lot easier to settle back in. Rory Best, Franco van der Merwe, Alan O'Connor, all those guys were working so hard and I was comfortable coming back into the squad knowing that everyone really wanted to get the win."
