Kilts catch the eye with great regularity as the Warriors of Scotstoun bring with them a loyal following from Glasgow, hopping across the narrow Irish Sea in their masses.
As the crow flies, Munster are in fact based almost three times the distance from Belfast as this evening's adversaries but they too have descended in great numbers.
The city is full - indeed hotel rooms have this week been snapped up as quickly as they have become available - and there is a special feeling in the air.
Crowds of punters pile into and stream out of Belfast's pubs, with rugby's great spirit of inclusion and camaraderie rarely more evident.
You too can join in the pre-match fun at one of the Festival of Rugby Fan Zones, as the rugby bus weaves its way through the city and towards the stadium.
Departing from the Visit Belfast Welcome Centre at 11:30am, the bus will stop at Morrison's, Lavery's and The Errigle Inn before reaching its destination.
When the whistle blows, however, at the Kingspan Stadium this evening, attentions will swiftly turn to the rugby.
Each side will stand 80 minutes away from becoming the first to lift the GUINNESS PRO12 trophy and ensure the party continues for their travelling hoards.
It would be the Warriors' first title while Munster have tasted that feeling three times already - though not since they bested rivals Leinster at Thomond Park four years ago.
Neither could be begrudged the title this time around, the Warriors bouncing back from defeat in last year's final to top the table and Munster hot on their heels all the way, finishing the regular season level on 75 points with Gregor Townsend's men.
A nail-biting pair of play-off clashes ensued as Glasgow Warriors and Munster overcame Ulster and the Ospreys respectively, each in the most agonising of circumstances.
Now, after all the graft, the trophy's fate could yet be decided by one moment of magic or even a fatal mistake.
But whatever the result, all the signs suggest this Belfast evening will be a very memorable one indeed.
