GUINNESS PRO12 champions Glasgow Warriors will line up against a familiar foe in the Scarlets after they were placed in Pool 3, where the duo are joined by Northampton Saints and Racing 92.
Munster - beaten GUINNESS PRO12 finalists last month - will face French champions Stade Francais, Leicester Tigers and Benetton Treviso.
Clermont, who lost both the Champions Cup and Top 14 finals this season, lie in wait for the Ospreys along with Exeter Chiefs and Bordeaux-Begles.
And Ulster will face trips to Premiership winners - and 2013 European finalists - Saracens, French giants Toulouse and Oyonnax in Pool 1.
The Challenge Cup draw also took place this afternoon in Switzerland, throwing up a handful of enticing clashes.
Last year's finalists Edinburgh, whose home of BT Murrayfield will host the 2017 Champions Cup, were drawn in alongside London Irish, Grenoble and Agen.
Connacht are sure to collect some air miles after being drawn alongside Russian side Enisei-STM as well as Brive and Newcastle Falcons.
Newport Gwent Dragons will meet Sale Sharks, Castres and Pau while fellow Welsh region Cardiff Blues face Montpellier, Harlequins and Calvisano.
And Zebre complete the draw, alongside reigning champions Gloucester, their newly-promoted compatriots Worcester Warriors and French club La Rochelle.
