Not only was it their first win of the campaign but it also brought an end to Edinburgh's own 100 per cent start to the season.
But while delighted to arrest a run of form that saw his team lose their last ten league matches, Guidi wants his side to continue to iron out the small mistakes if they want to build on that result.
"The team really wanted this victory and defended really well. We still made mistakes that allowed our opponent to attack," he said.
"If we can clear these little mistakes we can compete against anyone. Especially after a summer where we started badly and lost players to the World Cup.
"But no one has stopped pulling in the right direction. Now we are shaping up well. We liked the good performance but we are conscious of having plenty of room for growth with key players out due to injury."
