Performing at loose and at tight head, Andrews was one of few positives for Wales who slipped to defeats against Argentina, Samoa, New Zealand and Australia.
Now he is keen to take that form into Blues' RaboDirect PRO12 and Heineken Cup campaigns in a bid to become a Wales regular by the time the Six Nations campaign begins next February.
"It's just been a process of looking at myself and working hard and sticking at it," the 23-year-old told Wales Online.
"If it doesn't go well one game, it doesn't mean what you are doing is wrong. You are not going to have a career as a prop without having a few tough games, especially in your early days.
"But the longer you go on, the more experience you get and hopefully you get better and you get less tough days.
"Hopefully I'll get involved in the Six Nations.
"I'll go back to the Blues now and fight for a place there first.
"We have got a couple of big Heineken Cup games and Christmas derbies coming up, so I'll look forward to them and hopefully I can push on."
The Blues have a break from RaboDirect PRO12 action this weekend as they take on Montpellier in the Heineken Cup.
And although he was only involved in the final two games against New Zealand and Australia, Andrews is determined to be part of a winning team once again after four straight defeats while on international duty.
"It was sickening really and hard to take," he said of the last-gasp defeat against Australia. "I couldn't believe it really, it was just gutting.
"From a personal point of view I went from not being involved, to being on the bench to having a start, so that was quite pleasing really.
"I built on the performance against New Zealand and improved a little bit as well.
"Hopefully I can stay involved."
