The 26-year-old King has only played twice in the RaboDirect PRO12 this season and has not scored a league try since the 2010-11 season but he will get the chance to remedy that in the 1872 derby.
And Bradley threw his weight behind his man and claimed the squad was ready to come to the fore ahead of the all-Scottish clash.
Bradley said: "It's disappointing to lose a key player like Nick for such a big game, but James has performed very well when given the opportunity this season and is desperate to get out there.
"These are huge games for the players and the fans and I'm happy with the balance of the team and the firepower available from the bench going to Scotstoun for what will be a hugely physical and intense match with our biggest rivals."
