During this year's Six Nations, O'Gara won his 128th cap for Ireland while in the RaboDirect PRO12 he has made 12 appearances, scoring 82 points to date.
And while O'Gara admitted he has been offered a contract by Munster for next season, he does not yet know if he will carry on or hang up his boots.
"I don't know if I will play on after this season," O'Gara told the Irish Independent.
"Munster have made an offer. What I have to decide is whether or not I have the hunger to give it 100 per cent for another season.
"I genuinely don't know at the moment what I want to do, and it'll be three or four weeks at the earliest before I make a decision.
"In fairness to Munster the goods (offer) are there. It's a question of what I want to do and what I'm prepared to do because it's always 100 per cent or nothing with me in everything I do."
