The Red Army stuttered to defeat in front of their home fans against Edinburgh on the opening day, but bounced back to beat Treviso 21-10 in Italy in round two.
And now 40-year-old Foley is urging his players to continue that momentum by taking down Zebre next weekend.
"We always knew that it was going to be a tough game against Treviso. It's a difficult place to go so we're pleased to get the win," he said.
"We want to win our home games and that's what we will be targeting [in the next game against Zebre]."
Fly-half Ian Keatley made amends for a mixed perforamance against Edinburgh by kicking Munster into an early lead.
But the Italians responded with the opening try of the match as full-back Simone Ragusi crossed the line and Joe Carlisle converted.
Munster narrowed the gap to just one point when Keatley scored his second penalty before teeing up CJ Stander to crash over on 28 minutes and continue his strong start to the new campaign.
And having taken the lead the Irish outfit never looked back as Simon Zebo finished off a fine flowing move to dot down on 50 minutes.
A Carlisle penalty gave the Italians hope, but Keatley added a third of his own to ensure victory for Munster and compound Treviso to their second straight defeat.
