The 24-year-old moved to Thomond Park from Auckland Blues over the summer and has set his sights on lifting a trophy come the end of the campaign after the club failed to do so last season.
Munster narrowly missed out on the GUINNESS PRO12 title in May, losing the final to Glasgow Warriors, while also failing to get out of their pool in Europe.
Saili, the last of whose two All Black caps came in November 2013, claims he already feels at home in Ireland and has credited the presence of fellow countryman Tyler Bleyendaal with helping ease the transition.
"We both played against each other back home - he played for Canterbury and I played for Auckland," said Saili.
"There's a bit of rivalry between each other but off the pitch we are good mates. He's a good mate of mine now and he let me stay at his house when I first came over.
"I've settled in pretty well - it's a lot different to how it is back home but the boys have made me feel very welcome and having other Kiwi boys has helped me settle in.
"There's a lot of expectation on me to stick my hand up and be the best I can for this team. Munster are a proud side and they fell short last year, so we'll want to improve on that and get some silverware back where it needs to be.
"The PRO12 is not an easy competition and there are a lot of teams out there who can tip you over if you're not on your A game.
"For me to come into this, I'm going to try and give my best and offer my strengths to the team."
