And man-of-the-match Sherry was delighted with the defensive effort shown by Munster in the 16-12 win.
He said: "Conditions were tough and they were always going to be tough, it was very wet which meant that there was a lot of slipping so if you take those circumstances into account, it's great to get the win.
"We always knew that at some stage they would have a purple patch but I think that we defended really well and that's what earned us the win.
"At the other end we got our points when it mattered and then we defended that lead really well."
