Robinson , who led Edinburgh to their highest ever finish of second in last season's Magners League campaign, has already announced that the two British & Irish Lions scrum halves will be joint captains of Scotland through their three Autumn Internationals.
But today is 'D Day' for the coach as he announces his first starting line-up since taking over from Frank Hadden.
"Leadership is not about one person. It is about developing a number of leaders. This year we are going to have two captains in Mike Blair and Chris Cusiter," said Robinson.
"They are two world class players, two world class people. Whichever one is selected will lead the team but, off the pitch the two will lead the team together."
Robinson is expecting his side to be given the toughest of tests against Fiji, Australia and Argentina during the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn series and scoffs at suggestions the games are merely 'friendlies'.
"We have got three cracking international matches against three southern hemisphere teams who have performed really well in recent years," he added.
"I do enjoy the comments about the Autumn internationals being friendlies. The games against Fiji, Australia and Argentina will be tougher than the matches we face in the Six Nations.
"We will have to be at our best to beat them and it will be a really good benchmark to see where we are. We have real potential, we have the ability, but its about delivering.
"I think we have the ability to win any game we play in. We are here to inspire a nation through our winning performance."
