Lions duo Gordon D'Arcy and Nathan Hines are named in the initial panel for this weekend's opening home game of the Magners League campaign and they are joined by hooker Bernard Jackman. Academy duo David Kearney and Brendan Macken are also added to the panel alongside Niall Morris who made his debut for the province last weekend.
The other debutants from the game in Llanelli, summer signings Shaun Berne and Mike Ross, are also included.
The team is expected to be named on Friday lunchtime.
Meanwhile over 13,500 tickets have already been sold for Saturday's match. Tickets are available this week online from www.leinsterrugby.ie, Ticketmaster outlets nationwide, Spar Donnybrook and the Leinster Rugby Store in Donnybrook. Tickets will be available on the day from Ticketmaster outlets on Angelsea Road (opposite the Herbert Pack Hotel) and Simmonscourt Road, from 4.30pm until kick off.
Meanwhile Season Tickets Sales closed yesterday resulting in record sales in excess of 10,700. Tickets are selling fast for the home Heineken Cup match against London Irish on 9th October with only 1,000 tickets remaining. A limited number of Tickets for the home Magners League match against Munster on October 3rd will go on sale to season ticket holders only next week and it is expected that none will go on public sale.
