Cardiff Blues are represented by a super six with Tom James, Chris Czekaj, John Yapp, Bradley Davies, Deiniol Jones and Robin Sowden-Taylor looking to impress to gain a regular spot.
The Ospreys boast five players in Robin McBryde's new-look line-up including Wales skipper Ryan Jones and 19-year-old fly-half Daniel Biggar who makes his first Test start while the Scarlets provide three players with full-back Daniel Evans and centre Jonathan Davies making their senior international debuts.
Wales captain Jones said: "Dan is a hugely talented kid with an old head on young shoulders and I've nothing but respect for him.
"He's got a great kicking game, has a hell of a pass on him and reads the game extremely well. Add to that his composure and you have the complete player.
"And at the age of 19, he's not afraid to shout and point fingers at experienced players if things are going wrong. That's what you want from a number ten.
"He's extremely level-headed and being selected hasn't changed him. He's really focussed and driven about what he wants to achieve.
"He's really grown this week from having the extra responsibility and honour of representing his country. I'm sure he will excel and be at the centre of everything good in our game.
"Canada is a great place to tour and it's a great opportunity for a number of players who haven't experienced Test rugby before.
"They're all really excited and chomping at the bit. We don't want the younger lads to be daunted and they will have no fear. We want to make sure they feel comfortable at this level."
That Magners League representation is expected to rise to 17 this summer when scrum-half Gareth Cooper completes his move back to Wales with the Cardiff Blues, while Canada coach Kieran Crowley revealed last night that DTH van der Merwe is to move to Glasgow Warriors next season.
The impeding signing for the Scottish outfit was highlighted when Crowley explained his decision to move the South African-born star from the wing to outside centre for the clash at York University Stadium.
Crowley said: "He's come back from a long-term (ankle) injury this year and on his form last week and with a couple of little things that we want to try I thought we would move him into our midfield. He's an accomplished player and he's going to be playing in Scotland next year for Glasgow."
