The last time the two provinces met in the league, was in November, at Ravenhill, when Ulster recorded their largest victory of the season, with a 40 point win. Now with a trip to the intimidating Sportsground, Ulster will be playing for another bonus point victory, against their inter-pro rivals, to ensure a mid-table finish for the 08/09 season. Ulster currently sit 13 points clear of Connacht on the League table.
Matt Williams knows the importance of this game to his side in terms of the League: "We have a lot of respect for Connacht, they are a good side and play a hard game of rugby, but we are more determined than ever and we are going out to win. We are on track for a mid-table finish to the season, and will be after maximum points from our last two fixtures to secure this."
