Delighted with today's news, Warriors head coach Sean Lineen said: "Firhill is a great stadium and is ideal for this club as we continue to improve on the field and grow off it.
"The players enjoy playing on what is a great surface and the noise the fans generate from the Jackie Husband stand is fantastic."
Glasgow Warriors Chief Executive, Ian Riddoch, is also pleased with today's announcement as he seeks to continue the growth of The Biggest Team in Glasgow in the run up to the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and beyond.
He added: "Glasgow Warriors has grown into a fantastic club and it was important that we secured a consistent playing venue for the team and its supporters.
"Firhill has certainly become a home for us and I'm delighted that we will continue to grow in such a great venue."
Equally delighted to ensure the relationship with Scottish Rugby and the Warriors continues to flourish, Partick Thistle chairman Allan Cowan commented: "We are delighted that the Warriors have decided to extend their agreement with us for another five years. It allows us both to plan ahead for that period and we look forward to developing our partnership with them.
"An increasing number of football clubs are realising that they must maximise the use of their facilities and this deal is an example of what is possible."
Following a brief spell at Firhill in 2005, the Warriors have been based alongside Partick Thistle fulltime since 2007.
Both sides have thrived in the Magners League and in the Irn-Bru First Division. The Warriors broke their attendance record on numerous occasions, most recently during the David Lloyd 1872 Cup match when 6,665 supporters turned out for Glasgow's second leg victory over Edinburgh.
Firhill has all the facilities required for a top-flight sports club including a covered, all-seater stadium, flood lights, under-soil heating, a high quality playing surface, a range of supporter facilities including a new Greaves Sports store and corporate hospitality facilities.
