Commenting on the fixture, Head Coach, Lyn Jones said:
"Last week we welcomed back Steve Tandy after almost six months out with injury and this week we are delighted to have both Lyndon Bateman and Gavin Henson back in the squad. On top of this we have Barry Williams reaching a landmark 100 competitive games in an Ospreys shirt. It is also significant that we also see Ian Evans named in a Wales starting line-up and these positives show that we are starting to build in a season that has so far seen us have three close defeats. Gavin, Ian and Lyndon missed much of the second half of last season and yet we still enjoyed the most successful season in our short history. Had these players been available to us it is not unrealistic to say that their presence could have tipped the balance in our favour, particularly in some of most hard fought and closest fixtures."
"Glasgow suffered a bit of a going over against the Blues, although we recognise that a lot of teams get caught short at the start of a season. I certainly do not expect them to be as poor against us on Sunday and I am sure they will look to demonstrate the same positive intent they have shown in our previous fixtures. They are an extremely well organised and coached team and clearly they do a lot of work on their opposition. Glasgow have a lot of pace behind the scum and in Daryl Gibson they have a potential match winner, as he demonstrated on many occasions while he was with Leicester."
Lyn further commented on what will be a notable match for Barry Williams:
"Sean Holley and I will forever be grateful for the way Barry stepped forward to lead the Ospreys through a very difficult period in our first season. Barry is an inspirational leader, he is an Osprey though and through and he deserves everything the game can offer him, including being the first Osprey to reach the milestone of 100 competitive Appearances."
