Henry Edwards Interim Head Coach says,"We are looking forward to our 1st home match of the season and are looking to improve on our performance against Leinster. I am delighted in the way in which the players approached training this week and their application to raise their standards''
Andrew Maxwell who signed for Edinburgh during the summer and ironically, his Ulster debut in September 2004had been against none other than Edinburgh. That was more than a year after he had signed for Ulster, but he immediately made his mark with a try against Edinburgh. Andrew won the first of his Ireland A caps at the 2006 Churchill Cup tournament in the USA and Canada with appearances against the USA and New Zealand Maori. He has also represented Ireland in the Rugby World Cup Sevens tournament in Hong Kong in summer 2005.
Andrew says "I have been in a team that has won the Magners League in 2005/06 and I think these guys have the ability to do it, so I am looking forward to the match and the league. I don't think Ulster have anything that this squad does not have, there is a lot of potential here and we will build from week to week''
