McCall welcomes back all the internationals that were involved with the Rugby World Cup apart from Simon Best who is having a period of rest following his health scare in France. Included in the squad for the first time is Scottish international Rob Dewey who was part of the Scottish team that reached the Quarter Finals. Dewey signed for Ulster from Edinburgh in February of this year on a two-year contract and the powerful centre is looking forward to playing at Ravenhill and said last week. "hopefully if I'm given the opportunity I can be part of the effort to get the season back on track."
Ulster will be hoping for a big performance as they line up against Leinster and Irish stars such as Brian O'Driscoll, Shane Horgan and Gordon D'Arcy who will also be hoping to return to winning ways having lost their last two games. David Humphreys is named in the squad after recovering from his ankle injury that his kept him off the pitch for the last number of weeks. Also returning is lock Ryan Caldwell who has completed his three match suspension following his red card against Edinburgh in September.
Mark McCall will be pleased to name Andrew Trimble in the squad, the Coleraine man is looking forward to lining up against his Irish team mates and playing for his province again and said this of the fixture: "It will be great to run out at Ravenhill again and be back playing for Ulster against Interpro rivals Leinster will certainly add an extra edge to the game. All the Irish guys know each other really well but I guess those friendships will have to be put to one side on Friday night. It is important that we get a good result in this game and get our Magners League campaign back on track"
The game has been designated as an ALL-TICKET affair with no tickets available at the gate on match night. Tickets are available online from www.ulsterrugby.com and the Ulster Rugby ticket line 028 9049 3222 (Option 2) or alternatively from over the Ravenhill counter.
