Munster and Edinburgh, who meet on Saturday will also have designs on a move toward the top rend of the table with the hosts looking for a return to winning ways after failing to record a victory since late September. Edinburgh have also had a patchy run this season, and have not recorded an away win since their last trip to Munster back in October of last year.
The weekend's third game sees Ulster travel to Glasgow Warriors on Friday nigh, with the former champions looking to move off the foot of the table. A bonus point win could see Ulster jump past Glasgow in the standings, however if Glasgow keep up their fine home form this season they could push up into the top half of the table.

This is a fourth successive home fixture for Glasgow Warriors and they are unbeaten at home since returning to Firhill over the summer. Glasgow complete a full house of playing the four Irish provinces in successive rounds of the Magners League, and have not lost at home to Irish opposition since Ulster were the visitors to Hughenden last January.
Ulster are winless in their last four Magners League encounters since defeating Ospreys at Ravenhill on 21 September. The Ulstermen have won on their last two visits to Glasgow, including a 27-18 victory on their only previous appearance at Firhill in April 2006.

Leinster have not won in the Magners League since their 30-19 victory in Cardiff on 28 September. Leinster have lost just one of their last seven encounters against fellow Irish provinces: 11-25 at Munster on 27 December 2006.
Connacht's away form continues to be a worry. The Western province have not won on the road in the league since a trip to the Borders on 1 September 2006.
Leinster have won their last six clashes with Connacht since a Connacht victory 35-24 in Galway on 13 March 2004. Connacht's only win in Dublin since 1985 was 26-23 at Donnybrook in the league on 13 September 2002.

Munster are winless in the Magners League since a 26-16 victory over Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade on 28 September. The Munstermen have not lost to Scottish opponents in their last four attempts since Edinburgh won at Thomond Park on 13 October 2006.
Edinburgh's only win in their last nine Magners League matches since April was 24-10 at home to Ulster on 28 September, whilst you have to go back to their last visit to Munster (on 13 October 2006) to find their last away win.
Edinburgh have won just one of their last seven matches against Munster in all competitions.
