Cave looking forward to Dragons game

Cave has an extensive list of age grade honours having represented Ulster and Ireland at Schools level, U19, U20 and U21 levels. During the 2006/07 season Darren was selected to play for Ireland A in the Churchill Cup.

"I'm really excited to get my first start for Ulster - there have been quite a lot of young players given the opportunity to show what they can do in recent weeks. The likes of Niall O'Connor, Mark McCrea and David Pollock have definitely impressed and hopefully now that I've been given the chance to start it will go as well for me as it has for them."

"Training this week has been different because the starting team is generally a bit younger than normal. The back line in particular is quite young so in training we've been looking to Tommy Bowe for guidance because he's so experienced, he has given us all great support and advice."

"I think it's definitely a positive thing to give the younger players the opportunity to impress and gain some experience. The players that have been selected all have a very attacking style of play so we'll be looking to put pressure on the Dragons from the outset and do our best to show what we can do."

"There are a couple of Welsh players back from the world cup who will obviously be looking to impress. Players like Kevin Morgan, Ceri Sweeney and Michael Owen are always going to be tough opponents."
