Several players from the successful Scarlets Academy are raising their hands for selection with Rhys Priestland and Jon Davies making the bench while lock Dominic Day has forced his way into the second row.
"We're looking forward to the season ahead," said acting captain James Bater.
"The summer training is over now and we can all concentrate on playing. The Dragons pose a stiff test for us but it is a challenge we are all looking forward to.
"Phil (Davies - Scarlets Director of coaching) has given some young guys a chance so now it's up to them to grab it."
