When he did get an opportunity against the Ospreys in the final game of the RaboDirect PRO12 season, Conway showed exactly what he can do as he scored a hat-trick of tries, while he also came off the bench in the semi-final win over Glasgow Warriors.
Munster's season is now over after they could only finish sixth in the league but Penney insists the future is bright with the likes of Conway heading to Limerick.
He told the Score: "We're rapt that we have Andrew. From the moment that I arrived here, I saw him as someone that had a great deal of talent, now that he has got a successive run of football he has been able to demonstrate the talent he has.
"Hopefully we can provide him with the same, if not better, opportunities down at Munster.
"That's the job, to identify talent that is not being utilised and seeing if we can entice them."
