It was third defeat in four RaboDirect PRO12 matches for Munster, who now sit six points outside the top four with just six matches remaining.
The first of those comes against Ospreys at Thomond Park on Saturday and Sherry has called on Munster to prove they are not out of the semi-final race just yet.
"We had to do a lot this week to pick ourselves up," said Sherry. "We played very poorly. Rob [Penney] and Simon [Mannix] are coming under stick in the press but it's completely our fault. We didn't turn up on the day; we played very poorly and didn't play to any kind of game plan.
"The weekend was just one bad thing after another, but there are no excuses, we were terrible and that won't do.
"We need to up it again this weekend and we owe the coaches and the fans a huge performance."
