Horne made 25 appearances for the Scotstoun-based side in the 2012/13 season and scored the club's try of the season - a last minute touchdown in the 27-20 win over Northampton Saints in the Heineken Cup in January.
The 23-year-old formed an exciting centre partnership with Alex Dunbar and scored tries against Leinster and Cardiff in the RaboDirect PRO12.
Earlier this month he was selected for Scotland's summer tour to South Africa.
