A 29-6 defeat to Scarlets last time out, just Glasgow's second in ten games, saw the Warriors fall to third in the RaboDirect PRO12 table with Ulster now leading ahead of Leinster.
However with just two matches of the regular season remaining Glasgow's play-off fate is in their own hands with five points separating them from their next opponents in fourth.
They are also just the sole point off Leinster in second with a win over Ospreys not only guaranteeing them a play-off spot but also keeping their hopes of it being at home alive.
Defending champions Ospreys are unbeaten in five and Warriors captain Kellock believes nullifying Jones will be pivotal in getting back to winning ways.
"Alun Wyn is the Ospreys' pack leader and I relish playing against that quality of opposition," Kellock told the Glasgow Evening Times.
"We have played against each other on plenty of occasions before and there are always some mind games going on.
"The big fellow likes to sucker you with a few red herrings when it comes to his lineout calls but hopefully we can crack his code.
"You look at the Ospreys' defensive record and it is the best in the PRO12. Two big parts of that are their dominance at the lineout and the scrum and these are going to be massively important.
"We know that by our standards we were not at our best in either of these two areas against the Scarlets, but overall we must lift our performance level in every area.
"We are better than that showing and we have the chance to nail down a play-off berth in front of our fans. It doesn't get much better than that."
