At just 21, Weir was able to retain the no.10 jersey he was handed for Scotland's Six Nations clash with Wales to earn his fifth international cap against France.
And even though he may be surrounded by far more experienced personnel, the fly-half admitted he is showing more confidence with the added responsibility.
Weir has kicked 58 points in the RaboDirect PRO12 this season and the extra boost of representing his country is sure to help current league leaders Glasgow secure a home semi-final in the run-in.
"I've loved having that 10 jersey on my back these last two games - it's a pressure position but I enjoy that pressure and responsibility," said Weir.
"It's up to me to boss the team about a bit. There are obviously guys in the side a lot older and more experienced than I am, but you just have to be confident."
