Easterby's troops head into a two-weekend break having bounced back from a 32-5 defeat on the road at Leinster to edge past Edinburgh 14-13 at Parc y Scarlets on Friday night.
That result moved Scarlets up to fourth in the RaboDirect PRO12 table with a one-point cushion over Welsh rivals Ospreys and nine points separating them and third-place Leinster.
Scarlets return to action with a trip to Zebre before a clash with the Newport Gwent Dragons at the Millennium Stadium and home fixtures to Glasgow, Cardiff and Treviso.
Easterby admits the break has come at the right time for the Scarlets and feels in control over their bid for a top-four finish - even if he concedes they'll have to be perfect to get it.
"We have got a couple of weeks to recover some of the bruised and battered bodies, which is really good because we are ready for this break - coaches and players," said Easterby.
"Then, we have a real opportunity to have an assault on the last five games. At the moment I think it's in our hands and the longer that continues the better.
"As soon as it comes out of our hands and we have to rely on other people then it becomes more difficult.
"Every game is winnable from now on, but we have to be far, far better than we were against Edinburgh and the week before against Leinster.
"Five from five is probably going to be necessary. We can't really afford to slip up. We have got to get something out of each game.
"We will make life really hard for ourselves if we don't do that. There are a lot of sub-plots going on in the top five or six and we are part of that.
"As I say, it's in our hands and hopefully it will stay that way. But we have to be better than we were against Edinburgh."
