A 17-41 defeat on home soil to the Italian outfit was not the way Easterby envisaged his side would solidify fourth spot in the table and the play-off place that came with it.
But after fellow Welsh side Ospreys failed to beat Leinster, the Scarlets were certainties for a semi-final berth and they now must travel to Ravenhill to face an Ulster side that have tasted defeat only once in the RaboDirect PRO12 all season.
And facing a big task in trying to pick his players up for Friday's clash, Easterby predicts there will be a tough couple of days on the training field in order to rectify their mistakes.
"We saved our worst performance of the season for our last home game," Easterby told Wales Online. "It was embarrassing and there are other words I could use to sum up the way I am feeling.
"It was an unacceptable performance. We were particularly poor. There's no hiding from that. It was disappointing for all the fans and disappointing not to finish off our season at Parc y Scarlets with a strong performance and a victory.
"Our error count was just shocking. We had so many missed tackles, knock-ons, we just couldn't put anything together.
"You can't account for that much error. We created our own downfall with a lack of respect for the ball and for territory. We were just poor in every facet and Treviso beat us to every 50-50.
"It is a consolation that Leinster beat the Ospreys, but we have a lot of work to do to go to Ulster and put in a performance that is a million miles from that.
"It's going to be a tough couple of days, but we've got something to play for next week. The players have got to come in Monday and be prepared to work hard for what will be a huge week.
"We've got to pick ourselves up, because we have a trip to Belfast ahead of us. We are in the play-offs and that is down to the first part of the season and the performances of the last eight or nine PRO12 games up until this one.
"This is a blip hopefully. We have to put it behind us and we have to go to Ulster and give ourselves a real crack of getting a result."
