According to flanker Alessandro Zanni, it marked the latest step in a cycle for Treviso since joining the league, with a highest-ever league finish next on their agenda.
In their first season Treviso racked up nine wins, finishing in tenth with 38 points, and while they did not pick up as many wins the following year, their first wins off Italian soil and first try-bonus points were more proof of progression.
This year should see another step up, with Zanni and co having already racked up eight wins and beaten their best points tally on 39 with four games remaining.
Sitting in seventh, Treviso now have a six-point cushion over the Blues below them although Zanni admits their chances of a top-half finish are slim with Munster a further eight points clear.
He said: "It's been a cycle for us since we joined the league trying to progress each season.
"In the first year it was all about being competitive and we had some very good results at home.
"Then in our second season we were able to get some away wins as well and score a few more tries.
"We feel like we have built on that this season, and the win over Cardiff was really important for us.
"It's a landmark to have beaten every team now and it was something we were aware of before the game.
"We have four games left now and want to try to push on from here. If you look at it, we have had a couple of games where we came very close and just lost out at the end, so next season I think the important thing is that we are more clinical.
"It will be difficult to catch Munster, but we want to make sure we finish seventh, which would be our highest-ever finish."
It's been quite a start to 2013 for Zanni, who scored a try against the Blues just a week after helping Italy to a first Six Nations win over Ireland.
So impressive were his performances for the Azzurri that the flanker finished second in the voting for Player of the Championship behind Leigh Halfpenny.
And while Italy's foreign legion of Sergio Parisse, Andrea Masi and Martin Castrogiovanni remain their most iconic players, Zanni believes the impact of Italian inclusion in the RaboDirect PRO12 is being seen in their strength in depth.
He added: "People like Sergio and Andrea have been playing well for Italy for so many years, and Martin as well but it's great having the players involved from Treviso and Zebre as well.
"I was lucky enough to get some recognition for my performances, but it's the team as a whole which was fantastic.
"The Celtic League has been very good for us in that respect, and that's why a few more of our players are getting the attention they deserve.
"Now we just need to push on from here, with both Italy on the summer tour and Treviso."
