McInally crossed for the all-important try in the second half and also scooped the man-of-the-match award as the Gunners ended a seven-game winless run in the league.
And with a trip to Italy to take on Zebre up next for Edinburgh, McInally insists he and his teammates have no intention of letting such a fine victory go to waste.
"It's been a tough season so was great to get a well earned win at home," he said.
"The performance and the win was definitely one for the fans who have been right there with us all season, with the numbers we had out at Murrayfield a testament to our supporters.
"One swallow doesn't make a summer however, and we've certainly not lost track of where we are and where want to be. Our hard work continues in Italy against Zebre this Friday.
"We've now set the bar for how we can play, and are desperate to finish this season on a high, for us and for the fans."
