There he has met with fellow wing, Glasgow Warriors flyer Sean Maitland, and the duo's similar backgrounds appears to match the way they go about their business when entering the field of play for club and country.
Born in New Zealand, Maitland earned his first international cap in the Six Nations opener against England, while Visser, born in Zeewolde, Netherlands, now has seven caps to his name.
"Sean is a very positive guy and that is something I would like to pride myself on as well," said the 25-year-old.
"Scottish people like to be underdogs and really like to come from that angle but in Holland it is very much different.
"We are often perceived as being arrogant but we are just very positive and like to think we can do things. That is something I have seen in Sean as well.
"Sean is more of an all-round player than me, pretty solid in defence and a good attacker. He is very balanced as a player and that is something he has picked up from his background."
