But despite enjoying a seven-point lead above their nearest rivals, McComb insists now is not the time to ease off as Ulster pursue silverware on both domestic and European fronts.
"We have played them three times now and we know exactly what both sides are going to bring," McComb told the Belfast News Letter.
"They will have had a look at us and we've looked at them and we know it is going to be a battle up front so as long as we can get good set piece ball for our backs we have confidence in them to score tries.
"We don't want to slip up because it will allow them to gain on us and even Leinster and the Scarlets in third and fourth could creep up, we want to be winning and taking the points no matter how."
Despite their dominance in the three clashes this season, McComb is well aware of the threat posed by the Warriors who have won their last five RaboDirect PRO12 games since a 31-3 defeat at Munster on December 1.
And with a host of stars away on international duty with the Irish national side or out injured, the 6ft 7in 29-year-old knows Ulster will have to be fully focused if they are to become the first team to win at Scotstoun in the RaboDirect PRO12 since Leinster in November.
"We're just taking each week as it comes, and you can't really look at the following week until you know what's happening this week - obviously we want to take the points and move onto the next week," said McComb.
"The boys are training day in day out together and we know we are going to field the best team and we have all the confidence in us to win."
