This weekend Ulster travel to Connacht looking to move a step closer to a RaboDirect PRO12 home semi-final and in search of a third win on the spin with their mini blip now behind them.
And after winning their first ten league matches of the season, Trimble has called on his side to ensure their flying start to the campaign does not go to waste.
He said: "I don't know how many games we went undefeated at the start season but if we don't back it up now it wouldn't be worth anything so we're putting a lot of pressure on ourselves to back it up.
"I feel like I've still got quite a lot to give, I've only put on the green shirt once this year which is obviously disappointing but it's put me in a position where I can throw everything into Ulster.
"It's very straightforward and I know what I'm doing and I know I'm rated higher here than I am with Ireland and that's something that helps with confidence and I've bought into it quite a bit.
"It's been disappointing but I've been trying to see it as positive as well.
"[Ulster head coach] Mark Anscombe rates me highly and trusts me and that just makes me want to repay the faith and that is a great help for me."
