He will have to be at his best against last year's beaten RaboDirect PRO12 finalists, with Fergus McFadden and Ireland legend Brian O'Driscoll lining up opposite him.
Despite finishing top of the table at the end of the regular season, Ulster will have to travel to Dublin for the final, but after ending a 14-year wait for a win in the Irish capital, the RDS will hold no fear for them.
And Olding, who started alongside Cave in that win back in March, expects another tight encounter in the second all-Irish final in three years.
He said: "It's been an exciting buildup for us and it's really great to have got through to the final.
"Knockout rugby has that added edge so it was great to get past the Scarlets in the semi-final.
"It's always very tight against Leinster and we expect it to be the same again this time. They are obviously a very good team but fingers crossed we can get past them again."
Beyond the very obvious reward of the RaboDirect PRO12 title, Ulster will have an added motivation on Saturday as they try to pay tribute to centre Nevin Spence.
Spence was tragically killed in a slurry accident back in September, along with his father Noel and brother Graham, and the players have worn his initials on their jerseys ever since.
And British and Irish Lion Tommy Bowe, who will start on the wing, revealed that Spence has been in their thoughts all season.
He said: "It was such a tragic circumstance. I don't think anything really needs to be said about Nevin. I think the players know that he has always been in the back of our minds the whole season.
"His initials are stitched in underneath the Ulster badge on all our jerseys and we have memorials to him in different areas around the training facilities. I think he'll be looking down on us this weekend and it would be a great way to finish off the season with a bit of silverware for him."
