After taking up a spot on the bench for the first half of the RaboDirect PRO12 season Baldwin has started at hooker for all of Ospreys' games since the turn of the year.
And his inclusion has coincided with Ospreys moving into the RaboDirect PRO12 play-off places, heading to Munster this weekend in fourth having won three of their four games in 2013.
But Baldwin is taking nothing for granted and is keen to keep his foot on the pedal to not just keep Ospreys' play-off charge alive but also his own hopes of game time when Hibbard returns from the Six Nations.
"I am loving getting the game time," he said. "I have had a few starts with Hibs [Hibbard] away and I have been getting into it.
"I have had the opportunity, with Hibs away, to put a marker down and hopefully I have done that and I can keep pushing him when he gets back
"I am really looking forward to playing at Thomond Park on Saturday. I have played in some great competitions this year. Toulouse away was my first Heineken Cup game and that was great, and I played at Ulster where we got a great result out there.
"So I am looking forward to going out there in Munster and getting a good result.
"There is no room for error now really. We are only one point ahead of the Scarlets and have a tough run in but we have shown at start of the season and even now with 26 internationals out that we can go away and get the job done."
