Scott, who along with fellow interim coach Duncan Hodge took charge of their first RaboDirect PRO12 game for the club, now intends to build on the triumph - starting on Friday against Zebre.
"Everything we asked of the players in terms of attitude, intent, hard work and desire in training this week was brought onto the field. I'm delighted for the players and the fans," said Scott.
"We have now set a standard from which we can build and the challenge is to continue improving, starting with Zebre in Italy next week.
"I sensed they had a big performance in them. It hasn't been an easy season but this win shows what the guys are made of."
