Weir, 21, started Scotland's penultimate Six Nations clash and Wilson, 23, came off the bench at Murrayfield.
And both have a glittering future ahead of them according to Brown, he said: "It was nice to see Ryan Wilson come on for his debut as well.
"Ryan has been outstanding for Glasgow for the past couple of seasons, a great ball-playing forward, and it is always good when someone like that gets his reward.
"He's a great ball-carrier, and I was very impressed by the way he got up to speed so quickly in his first Test.
"Duncan Weir should be pretty happy after his first start for Scotland. He is a young lad, but very mature with it, and he is a very good reader of a game.
"He was brought in to play to his strengths, to kick the ball to the corners and keep us going forward, and I think we saw a lot of good stuff from him.
"Duncan was not at all nervous beforehand. Nothing much phases him. To see him like that in the dressing room beforehand was very reassuring for the rest of us, as fly-half is such an important position."
