Ruddock has played 13 times for the Irish province in this season's RaboDirect PRO12, including an appearance in the 17-15 victory over Glasgow Warriors in the semi-final.
And the 22-year-old also helped Leinster secure the Amlin Challenge Cup with a more convincing 34-13 win over Stade Francais at the RDS last Friday.
Hooker Cronin narrowly missed out on the 28-man tour to the United States and Canada, Mike Sherry preferred instead, but having made 17 appearances in the league this season he is another worthy of an international berth.
There is of course still the small matter of a RaboDirect PRO12 final against Ulster for the duo, but acting Ireland coach Les Kiss insists the tour will be a great way for all to gain a great deal of experience.
"The Georgian tour will be a great experience for the players, most of who have recently come through the Ireland underage system," Kiss told the Irish Times.
"It will be a tough tour with three games in 14 days and a smaller squad of 26 players, which should mean everyone getting significant game time."
