All have played their part during a so-far successful domestic season, helping Leinster secure yet another play-off appearance in the RaboDirect PRO12.
And Schmidt, who will leave Leinster to become Ireland's head coach after this season, admitted it was a proud moment for the club as well as the individuals lucky enough to be selected.
"I'm delighted for all six players and it is a huge honour for them and the province to have so many representatives on the tour to Australia," said Schmidt, who also reserved mention for those representatives from the other Irish provinces, Munster duo Conor Murray and Paul O'Connell and Ulster wing Tommy Bowe.
"On that note all of us at Leinster would like to add our congratulations to the other Irish representatives; Tommy Bowe, Conor Murray and Paul O'Connell as well as to tour captain Sam Warburton."
