With Leinster contesting the RaboDirect PRO12 final on May 25, it's unlikely that their players will be thrust straight into British & Irish Lions action against the Barbarians - and Parisse - a week later.
But with Heaslip and Toby Faletau as the only specialist No.8s in the squad, it's not inconceivable that the Leinster man will face his Italy counterpart once more.
"He's a lovely guy, a great guy. I was chatting to him for a good while after the Italy game," Heaslip told the Irish Independent.
"He was telling me he was going to be playing in the Barbarians game and he was looking forward to seeing me then.
"Attacking-wise he has got a lot of threats - he can carry it hard, he has got very, very good ball-playing and distribution skills and he likes to kick as well."
