Dixon, 18, and 19-year-old Jones have been handed their third consecutive starts in Friday's clash with Treviso at Rodney Parade.
Full-back Hallam Amos, 18, is also on the bench for the Dragons and Edwards believes the trio could yet be part of the Wales squad this summer.
With Wales' squad to tour Japan likely to be hit by some British Lions call-ups Edwards said: "These boys are in our team on merit and deserve their places in the team.
"If these boys finish off the season well with us then there's a possible tour with Wales because they have got serious potential.
"It depends on how many Wales players make the Lions squad but there could be some slots available in Japan.
"It's early (in their careers) but they have played in some high pressure games and the experience they are gaining on the field is vital. But now they need to kick on."
Treviso ran out comfortable winners in the corresponding fixture earlier in the season, scoring five tries in a 32-13 win and Edwards added: "Treviso beat us well out there and that hurts our pride. We need to put that at the forefront of our minds."
