Indeed, with a new-look coaching set-up the 25-year-old believes a fresh start could herald a new era for the Scott Johnson's side.
"Although history is not in our favour it has nothing to do with us, it's not our fault, we've been playing well and the past is nothing to do with me, every game is a game on its own," said Visser.
"It will be brilliant to get a win against England but it's a long campaign and we're taking it one game at a time.
"They're a physical team, and they play their territory well and they've got some good kickers and some good talent out wide. They'll be a big challenge and they don't hide it.
"Any game in the Six Nations you need an 80-minute performance to get a result and the teams are very good.
"There's always a big physical battle throughout so you need to make sure you are switched on throughout the game."
