Gareth Maule's controversial first-half score set the Scarlets on their way and Stoddart, who was introduced after the interval for the first time since breaking his leg on international duty with Wales over 14 months ago, capped the victory for the Welsh region.
And the 28-year-old confessed that just getting back out onto the pitch was reward enough after a long hard road to recovery.
"It was a real moment of relief for me to get on the pitch and then I collected a nice pass over the top from Rhys (Priestland) and it was just an easy run in," he said.
"It was nice to have a few bumps, to take a few hits on the leg and have some contact but still feel the confidence.
"It will take a few games, I was still thinking about my leg when I went into contact but it wasn't too bad and it's just a matter of trying to get on with the game.
"It's nice to come back into a team that are playing good rugby and scoring tries. For a wide man or a full-back it's great and makes it that much easier to fit into the gameplan."
