Roger Morris New Disciplinary Chairman for Celtic Rugby

Mr Irvine acknowledged David Martin's period as Chairman of the Celtic Rugby Disciplinary Committee and congratulated him on steering the disciplinary process to a high level since the function became centralised and independent in March 2011.

Mr Roger Morris is a Partner in Hutchinson Thomas Solicitors in Neath and has wide experience in rugby and sporting tribunals generally. He has appeared many times as a single Judicial Officer, as Chair of a Panel and as a member of a Disciplinary Panel under the jurisdiction of the following rugby bodies :- Celtic Rugby/WRU/RFU/ERC/Six Nations & IRB.

Roger Morris has also conducted a number of appeal hearings for the WRU and has been appointed to both Six Nations and IRB appeals panels.

Roger Morris is Past President of Neath & Port Talbot Law Society, Chair of Cricket Wales and has been extensively involved in cricket discipline issues for all the South Wales Cricket Leagues and Glamorgan.
