Cornelius van Zyl and Manoa Vosawai scored a try apiece for the hosts at Stadio Monigo, while Zebre saw Marco Bortolami and Dries van Schalkwyk cross the whitewash and fly-half Luciano Orquera kick five points.

"We fell under the great pressure of Benetton in the second half. Nevertheless, the Zebras have demonstrated the ability to move the ball well, with the level of the game you have to get up for the good of the Italian game.
"My team played like we had prepared the challenge: I'm satisfied even though we lost. Races like these are good for Italian rugby with valuable actions on both sides and with high actual game playing time with high pace."
